General Work Permit rules
For the general Work Permit for migrant workers there is no universal qualifying minimum salary. The employer's written offer determines actual pay, although special schemes impose their own salary floors. The employer or its appointed employment agency submits the application, and sector quota (dependency ratio ceiling), levy and sector-specific rules apply.

Non-Traditional Sources (NTS) Occupation List — what Indian candidates may apply for
India is a Non-Traditional Sources country. Indian candidates can only be hired on the Work Permit for occupations permitted under the NTS Occupation List, and the employer must hold the relevant sector account and licences.

NTS-list jobs require a fixed monthly salary of at least SGD 2,000, fall under an 8% NTS sub-quota, and must be a permitted occupation. Not all roles advertised by agencies qualify for Indian nationals — generic warehouse assistant, cashier or administrative jobs are not NTS-eligible Work Permit occupations for Indians.

Construction, process and marine shipyard sectors
These sectors are governed by separate sector-specific eligibility, source-country, skills testing and mandatory training requirements, and their own quota and levy structures. We do not publish salary ranges for them, and there is no guaranteed entry route for freshers. Salary comparison — qualifying thresholds, not offered wages
The figures below are the minimum salaries a pass application must meet. They are not the wages an employer is offering you, and not take-home pay.

For both 2027 changes, the higher thresholds apply to renewals of passes expiring from 1 January 2028.

Candidate checklist before you accept any Singapore offer
- Valid passport.
- Truthful CV with accurate education, work experience and any job-specific training certificates.
- Freshers are assessed vacancy by vacancy — there is no blanket eligibility for candidates without experience.
- Ask the employer's full legal name and the exact role title.
- Ask for fixed monthly pay, overtime terms and working hours in writing.
- Ask about accommodation arrangements and any salary deductions.
- Ask for all fees in writing, along with refund terms.
- Verify any Singapore employment agency or agent through the official directory: MOM — Employment agencies and personnel search.
